Rubricelia (old Italian rubricella) is a liturgical calendar that indicates the order of worship on separate days. The specific headings of the different monastic calendars varied and changed constantly. Such calendars were published by various monasteries: Benedictines, Jesuits, Dominicans, Carmelites, Trinitarians, etc.
Generally there is also a list of members of the province for the corresponding year (elench) attached to at the end of the Rubricelia, which usually indicated the status, the degree of education and the place of residence in the corresponding year of a member in the monastery, some monasteries even specified year of person's birth, taking vows, held positions and etc.; members of the monastery who died during that year were also listed. Some monasteries (Bernardines, Dominicans, Carmelites) also published the personal composition of their nunnery branches in their elenchs.
